Ray started his technical career in the US NAVY as an Electronics Technician from 1984 to 1993. He was then hired by BD as a Field service Engineer for the New York City region from 1993 to 1999. Ray left BD to pursue providing flow cytometer customers with an alternative to BD service. In 2002 Ray joined forces with Cytek to start the service division of the company, while selling and supporting Cytek products.
