Abstract

FlowJo analyzes flow cytometry data, regardless of which FACS machine is used to collect the samples. FlowJo uses a unique and powerful way to view and summarize flow data. Samples are organized in a Workspace window, which presents a hierarchical view of all the samples and their analyses (gates and statistics). Viewing an entire experiment in a Workspace enables you organize and manage complex experiments while making detailed individual reports in an easy and intuitive way. Within a Workspace, samples can be grouped or sorted by various attributes such as the panel of antibodies they are stained with, tissue type, or patient. When you perform an operation on a group, FlowJo performs the operation on every sample belonging to that group. Thus, you can apply a gate to a group and that gate will be automatically placed on all samples. Combining groups with FlowJo’s ability to simplify repetitive operations greatly facilitates the production of statistics tables and graphical reports.
